About the Position: As a Maluku Project Staff, He/She will be working closely with Maluku Project Manager. He/She assist Maluku Project Manager in maintaining the coral reef in Biorock Ambon and maintaining good relations between Biorock Indonesia partners (provincial government, village government, NGOs, youth organization, local business, local communities, universities, schools, and other stakeholder) in the Maluku area. He/She will also assist the Project Manager in information dissemination of coral reef rehabilitation community based with Biorock technology. In addition, He/She will work in other project staff as a team.

Main Responsibility

  • Transplanting dan maintaining Biorock reef in Ambon
  • Conducting a periodic observation of coral growth in the Biorock structure
  • Disseminating information of coral reef restoration
  • Maintaining good relationship between local communities and other stakeholders
  • Actively participating in social and environmental activities that are organized or followed by Biorock team
  • Planning, Scheduling, and Taking notes of Meetings and Appointments
  • Responsive to E-mails
  • Coordinating volunteer of Biorock Indonesia based in Ambon
  • Other task(s) assigned by supervisor

     

Required Qualifications

  • Kind Personality
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Able to work independently or as a team
  • Certified diving license is preferred
  • Excellent Communicating Skills both in English in Bahasa Indonesia, at least verbally
  • Excellent Communication skill with local communities (fluent in Ambon language is a plus)
  • Highly adaptable in various working locations, from Remote areas, small office, and Metropolitan area.
  • Fresh Graduate of high school and bachelor degree is welcome, preferably with strong organizational background
  • Demonstrated track record of working with Ambon community and willing to stay for longer term should the contract is extended
  • Passionate to contribute in development of Ambon marine conservation
  • Strong interest with Conservation and Community based activity (with portfolio is a plus)
  • Understand the Issue of Marine Conservation, specifically in Coral Reef Restoration
