Worldwide coral reefs cover an estimated 284,300 km. Today 60% of coral reefs are facing threats which makes them dying or even dead. This number will increase to 90% in 2030 and increases to 100% in 2050.
Coral facing threats from human activities and climate change that will make coral even harder to survive.
In Indonesia coral reefs cover an estimated 50.875 km 2, 36% of coral reefs have already been destroyed and this number is not going anywhere for the last 10 years despite the efforts of various coral reef restoration.
